Application: Top Load Sport used between a barfeeder and a Lathe.
The Problem: We have a barfeeder that will feed bars longer than the spindle. Right now the bars have to be cut to spindle length which is adding a cut operation, increasing amount of remnants and slowing down production.
The Solution: The Top Load Sport can be made as short as 11" long. Using the Short Sport setup, the support is made with a narrow base and can fit between the barfeeder and the Lathe. This will extend the spindle capacity so that now you can run a 6' bar instead of a 4' one.
Benefits
- Use longer bars
- Fewer cuts
- Reduced overall loading cycles
- Less scrap
- More parts
"I
would happy to be a reference for JF Berns Bar Supports. We have not had any
problems with it, and our ballscrew shafts we machine have not seem to wear out
the inserts at all."
